About me
Sam believes sharing our narratives promotes authenticity, dispels myths, and rejects shame. She has prioritized youth, families, reproductive justice, and supporting survivors of violence. She is dedicated to providing sexual health education to those typically excluded. She’s been educating parents for more than fifteen years plus has first-hand experience with her bio son and as a foster parent. She engages in transformative resistance through education, storytelling, artivism, and channeling sacred rage.
She has a Bachelor’s in Child, Youth, and Family Studies and an MA in Teaching. In May 2023, she earned an MDiv with a concentration in Social Transformation. She is in care for ordination with Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches. She sees herself as a public theologian connecting the church, academia, and the people. Grounded in her faith, she works toward equity, creating a legacy that honors her ancestors, is rooted in community, and makes her kids proud.
