About me
Hi, I am Kyle Suzan Mortenson, a National Board Certified Health Teacher who has been teaching grades 5-12 for 16 years in the greater D.C. area, most recently as a member of the Social Emotional Grow Team Leadership in Arlington County . I have a Masters in Health Education and Promotion; hold complimentary certifications in Healthy Relationship Education from One Love and Amaze, Holistic Health, Personal Training; and take an evidence-based approach to prevention education.
In addiction to teaching, as a former collegiate athlete, I have also coached varsity volleyball for over 10 years.
Beyond my years of experience and areas of expertise – what I really have is a knack for connection.
Teens, parents, teachers, and coaches: I see you, and I am here for you. I am able to deliver meaningful workshops, lessons, professional development opportunities in a unique way to allow for honest, interesting, and fun lessons for some of the most difficult topics to navigate.
