Kathleen Houck is a Senior Assistant United States Attorney and the Coordinator of the Intimate Partner Violence Prevention Initiative (IPVPI) at the United States Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C. Kathleen earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Washington in 2009 and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2018. Following law school, Kathleen served as a law clerk to the Honorable Gerald A. McHugh of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and then to the Honorable Marjorie O. Rendell of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Kathleen joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office in September 2020 as an Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA) in the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Unit, handling both domestic violence and sexual assault cases. Since February 2023, Kathleen has served as a Senior AUSA in the Sex Offense and Domestic Violence Section, and she began her role as the IPVPI Coordinator in May 2024.
