Thinking Grassroots: Students of Mutual Aid

This presentation aims to discuss and teach the power of a grassroots approach to organizing by discussing how we as students and survivors can mobilize and show up for our larger community. With the recent election causing rape culture to be increasingly normalized, we must examine action items to get organized under our systemic oppressors. Using a foundation of intersectionality, we hope to consider the disproportionate impacts on marginalized communities, as we discuss our positionality and privilege. These tools will help us to strategically offer our energy and volunteer our time where it is most useful.
