9th Annual GDS Summit on Sexual Assault & Consent

Join recent college graduates and survivors, Patricia and Corinne, for an interactive workshop on preparing for a safe college experience. Designed for high school juniors and seniors, this session will focus on understanding the "Red Zone," developing personal safety strategies, and using your voice to build a supportive campus community. Empower yourself and your peers with essential tools to navigate challenges and create a safer college environment as you embark on this new chapter!

Join us for a powerful session with two survivors of sexual assault who will share their experiences on what responses hurt and what responses heal. This workshop is designed to equip peers with the skills and knowledge needed to respond compassionately to disclosures of sexual assault. Participants will learn how to create a supportive environment for survivors, understand their needs, and navigate the complexities of these sensitive conversations. Engage in interactive discussions about effective communication—what to say and what not to say when someone shares their story. Ideal for anyone looking to enhance their ability to support survivors, this workshop aims to build a compassionate community where empathy, understanding, and strength are at the forefront.
