9th Annual GDS Summit on Sexual Assault & Consent

In today’s digital age, students spend a significant portion of their time online. Students will discuss crucial topics such as cyberbullying, grooming, trafficking, catfishing, and the legal implications of sharing photographs online. Through interactive discussions and real-life scenarios, participants learn to identify potential risks and understand the importance of protecting themselves online.

Facilitated by Know Your IX, a youth- and survivor-led project of Advocates for Youth empowering students to end sexual violence in schools, this workshop will focus on Title IX and other policies that bolster protections and resources for student survivors. Attendees will learn about the basics of Title IX, how new Title IX rules impact students, and how to advocate for strong protections for survivors at your school!

Facilitated by Know Your IX, a youth- and survivor-led project of Advocates for Youth empowering students to end sexual violence in schools, this workshop will focus on transformative justice responses to sexual violence. Attendees will learn the basics of transformative justice, as well as tools to build healthy relationships and networks of support in your community.
