Ethical Storytelling: Uplifting Voices Without Taking the Mic
Saturday November 23, 2024 11:00am - 12:00pm EST
Every statistic represents a real story, and how we choose to share those stories matters. In this workshop, we’ll explore the principles of ethical storytelling, focusing on how to amplify survivor voices without centering ourselves in their narratives. Through discussion and practical exercises, we’ll examine how to tell stories in ways that empower survivors, honor their experiences, and respect their boundaries. Participants will learn how to use storytelling as a tool for change, creating a safer, more consensual world by uplifting the voices of others and fostering true allyship.
