9th Annual GDS Summit on Sexual Assault & Consent

Join Bobby Asher for a discussion with Chris McGhee and Alex Prout. A father of his own three daughters (who all worked at the summit during their time at GDS), Bobby will moderate a conversation that will begin with Chris and Alex sharing some of their experiences as fathers of survivors and as advocates on local, state, and national levels. After their initial presentation, the conversation will open up for questions and comments from the parent participants.

Hear from GDS’s Health & Wellness educator, Caitlin Hutcheon, about skills and information you need to support your children. The session will include an interactive consent lesson during which participants will be able to experience firsthand a sample class.

Learn firsthand from a panel of students and young adults with a variety of experiences as they share their stories, their thoughts, and their hopes when it comes to issues around consent and sexual assault. After hearing from the students, parents will be encouraged to ask their own questions, either directly or anonymously.
